Refund Policy
At Leche Mum, we are committed to supporting your breastfeeding journey and ensuring your satisfaction. If you experience any issues with your purchase, we will do our best to find a solution. Please review our refund policy below.
According to the Electronic Communication and Transactions Act & South African Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008, you as a consumer are entitled to a general right to return for seven days after delivery, for any reason without penalty, the consumer however will be liable for the cost of returning the goods.
- You are entitled to cancel any purchase of any product or service within 7 days (cooling-off period) from which they were delivered.
- Upon expiry of the “cooling-off” period no purchaser will be entitled to cancel any purchase.
- Goods need to be returned unused and in its original unopened packaging with all labels attached, within 7 days of receiving the item.
- Delivery charges for returning unwanted items within the “cooling-off” period (7 days) are for the purchaser's account.
- A refund will be affected to a purchaser exercising his right to cancel, within 30 days of cancellation, subject to any delivery costs that may be incurred in affecting the refund.
- Such refund will only take place when Leche Mum receives your parcel subject to the above mentioned conditions.
- If you fail to comply with the provisions of this Returns Policy, we reserve the right to refuse returns or to charge you our fees and expenses.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original unopened packaging.
Conditions for Refunds or Replacements:
- Items must be in their original condition, undamaged, and with all parts included.
- Items that are damaged, missing parts, or altered for reasons not due to our error are ineligible for a refund or replacement.
- Proof of purchase (receipt) is required for all returns.
Refund Process:
- Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a few business days.
Late or Missing Refunds:
If you haven’t received your refund:
- First, check your bank account or credit card statement again.
- Contact your credit card company or bank, as processing times can vary.
- If you’ve followed these steps and still haven't received your refund, please contact us at info@lechemum.co.za.
Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items:
Due to the intimate nature of our products, used items cannot be returned or refunded.
Shipping for Returns:
- To initiate a return, please contact info@lechemum.co.za for shipping instructions.
- You will be responsible for covering the return shipping costs. Shipping fees are non-refundable, and if you are granted a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from the refund.
- Delivery times for exchanges may vary depending on your location.
Defective Products:
A product defect is any material flaw in manufacturing or a characteristic that makes the product less acceptable than what would reasonably be expected.
The following issues are not considered defects and do not qualify for returns:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or incorrect operation
- Damage due to electrical surges or sea air corrosion
- Damage from moisture or milk entering the motor unit
- Failure to properly care for the product
- Unauthorized alterations to the product
- Situations where the product’s specifications are accurate but do not meet your personal preferences
Reporting Damaged Products on Delivery:
If your product arrives damaged or is missing parts, please report the issue to us at info@lechemum.co.za within 3 days of receiving the item.
